Surcharge in the use of clean fuel - IMO 2020

26.11.19 / 10:12
Dear customers,

Shipping companies are preparing to start implementing the International Maritime Association's (IMO) decision which prohibits the use of pollutant fuels in maritime transport.

Beginning in January 2020, cargo ships must use only low-sulfur fuel (at a maximum rate of 0.5% compared to 3.5% today).

Following the new regulation, shipping companies have announced that from the first of December 2019, a "clean fuel surcharge" will be applied to full containers and partial shipments that will reflect the costs of using clean fuel

Each shipping company will be charged accordingly.

We would love to be at your service at all times.
